MY FIRST EVER FURTHEST TRIP

JMC is located at the northern part of Johor and is about half an hour journey from Muar. Thanks to JMC, I had my first experience of eating Muar famous Otak-Otak. Till now, Johor still holds my record of the furthest place that I have ever been, though it will soon be replaced by Sarawak during my next semester break trip. XD

MY FIRST EVER KMJ GANG

No man is an island. I was relieved a bit when I knew that there were some classmates who were going to JMC as well. To kill my unknown fear to start my new life in a place far away from home, I started my initiative to go and meet up with some on the first day reaching JMC. Our bonds grow stronger as time passes, even though I was not close with most of them during our secondary school. Throughout the whole JMC life, im indeed thankful for their accompany for all the joy and memories they brought to me. We spent the moments together eating meals at café, strolling around JMC in the evening, doing homework in HEP (in which the time is often spent on the TV3 Friday mega movie and joking around), riding bus or taxis to Tangkak small town for necessities or a change in appetite, riding bus up and down from tangkak to penang, as well as ferry rides in which the sea breeze soothed our eager expression for going back penang.

MY FIRST EVER MIXING WITH MALAY

I come from a Chinese primary and secondary school. It will certainly be “cultural shock” when I first knew my class had only one Chinese. But as the time passes, I found that I do love my classmates. To be frank, I was scared off by some of my national service dorm mates. But the impression was improved by the friendliness and funny sides shown by my classmate. I even had MY FIRST EVER SARAWAK FRIEND! *PROUD*

Besides, I stayed in a room sharing with the other three Malays. Elle being the more open-minded side since she was from an English-oriented school, Ain being the kind one though her first impression to me was cool when I first enter my room and Meena being the mature and shy one coming from the east side of Penisular. I loved their company though we did have doubts towards one another sometimes. =)

MY FIRST EVER DANCE CHOREOGRAPHED BY A MALE

It was not my first dance counting my experience dancing with my classmates for our farewell dinner in Form5. But it is a cultural fan dance choreographed by a male student (p/s: the music is Japan as he likes anime) It is a fun experience learning dance steps with him and being amazed by his “kelenturan” and moves which looked even more feminine than me. The dance was performed for the Chinese New Year event, which is THE BIG EVENT for the whole Chinese society in JMC each year. I can say that ours managed to make me feel proud!

MY FIRST EVER MINGLE WITH MALES SINCE PRIMARY

Guess it will make others crack out laughing. I was from a girl’s high school. Apart from my primary classmates, my male friends were countable, in addition to my inactivity during secondary school. I seldom encountered with males and wondered how their minds work sometimes. JMC helped me broaden my social circle and find that male friends are as good as females. Glad to make some male friends who would offer useful advices and knowledge to me. Glad to have known friends coming from different states and we worked all way up to make the Chinese New Year event a success!
